Staff select an active boiler and record a required date and temperature in Fahrenheit. Reading time and notes are optional. Hotel Central also ties the entry to the hotel and the user who recorded it.

What this is.
Boiler Readings is a hotel-scoped temperature log for configured boilers. Authorized users can maintain separate boiler records with a name, location, active status, and optional minimum and maximum temperatures. Staff choose an active boiler and record the date, optional time, temperature in Fahrenheit, and optional notes. The page groups recent entries by date, filters by boiler or date range, searches loaded notes, and charts temperature over time. Readings beyond a configured limit are marked high or low, and active hotel users who have temperature alerts enabled receive an in-app alert and can receive a push notification when configured.

What operators ask.
How do high- and low-temperature alerts work?
An authorized user can set optional minimum and maximum temperatures on each boiler. When a new reading falls below the minimum or above the maximum, the page marks it LOW or HIGH. Active hotel users who have Boiler Temperature Alerts enabled receive an in-app alert and can receive a push notification when configured.
Can one property track more than one boiler?
Yes. A property can keep separate boiler records with their own name, location, model, active status, reading frequency field, and optional temperature limits. Only active boilers appear when staff record a new reading.
How can managers review prior readings?
The page groups recent readings by date and can filter them by boiler and date range, search the loaded notes, or plot the selected boiler's temperatures on a trend chart. The current Boiler Readings page does not provide a dedicated PDF export.
Who can delete boiler readings?
The user who recorded a reading can delete that entry. Users with Boiler Settings or Edit Anyone's Readings permission can delete other users' entries. Boiler equipment definitions are controlled separately by boiler settings and equipment-management permissions.
Does an out-of-range reading automatically create a task or work order?
No. An out-of-range value is marked against that boiler's configured temperature limits and can generate alerts for enabled users, but it does not automatically create a Smart Task, work order, corrective action, or predictive diagnosis.
