SMS Terms.
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Hotel Central provides a platform that hotels use to communicate with their guests. When a hotel that uses Hotel Central sends you a text message, the message is delivered through the Hotel Central platform on behalf of the hotel. These SMS Terms describe how text messaging works on the Hotel Central platform and what your rights are as a recipient.

How you receive messages
You receive text messages from a hotel because that hotel obtained your consent to do so — typically at the time you booked a room, completed a registration form, or otherwise interacted with the hotel's booking or check-in process. The hotel — not Hotel Central — is the sender of record and is responsible for obtaining your consent before texting you.
What messages you may receive
Messages are transactional and related to your stay or interaction with the hotel. Examples include:
- Booking confirmations and reminders
- Pre-arrival check-in instructions
- Credit card authorization requests
- Room readiness and key delivery
- Lost-and-found follow-up
- Front-desk and concierge replies to your questions
- Maintenance, housekeeping, or service-request coordination
Hotel Central does not send promotional or marketing text messages on behalf of hotels unless the hotel has obtained your separate consent for marketing.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your stay. A typical stay may include between one and ten messages, but the actual number depends on your interactions with the hotel.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Standard rates from your mobile carrier apply to messages you send and receive. Hotel Central and the hotel do not charge you for the messages themselves.
How to opt out
You can stop receiving messages from a hotel by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and the hotel will not text you again through the Hotel Central platform.
Because Hotel Central operates a multi-hotel platform, an opt-out you send to one hotel is honored across every hotel that uses the Hotel Central platform. If you check into a different hotel later and want to receive messages from that hotel, you can re-enable messages by replying START to that hotel's number.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message to receive contact information for the hotel that sent it. You can also email [email protected] with any questions about your SMS experience.
Subprocessors
Hotel Central uses Twilio Inc. as its SMS infrastructure provider. Twilio's privacy practices are described at https://www.twilio.com/legal/privacy.
How to revoke consent in other ways
In addition to replying STOP, you may revoke your consent to receive SMS at any time by:
- Asking the hotel directly to remove your number
- Emailing [email protected] with your phone number and a request to be removed platform-wide
Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected on the platform.
